Hop onto Stronger Passwords this easter

Just as you wouldn’t rely on one basket to protect your eggs this Easter, you shouldn’t rely on a single password to safeguard your sensitive information. Hop onto stronger passwords with our tips:

🐣 Use a Mix of Characters & Words:

Your password should contain a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, words and symbols. We recommend following the NCSC’s ‘what three words’ campaign, with the aim for a catchphrase to be at least 12 characters long: The longer your password, the more challenging it is to crack.

🐰 Use a Unique Password:

It’s critical to use a unique password for each online account. This way, if one password is compromised, your other accounts remain secure.

🐤 Use Multi-factor Authentication (MFA):

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your accounts by requiring a second factor, such as a code sent to your phone, in addition to your password.

🌼 Update your Password Regularly:

Make it a habit to update your passwords every 30 – 90 days, or more frequently if there has been a data breach or security issue. This helps ensure that your accounts stay secure over time.

We hop you stay secure this Easter!
